Hip Hop is a dynamic, upbeat class set to popular music. It is a great option for students who want to learn street-style and freestyle dance moves in a fun, fast-paced setting. By learning to move to the beat of the music students will improve flexibility, balance and coordination while also developing their sense of rhythm and musicality and individual style. Progression through our General Hip Hop program builds upon skills learned the previous year however is it also appropriate for students new to dance or to JLDC. This class two performance opportunities, one in our mid-year Hip Hop Show as well as our annual Spring recital.
