Introduction To Dance I (ages 3.9-4.6)   

Introduction to Dance II (ages 4.0-5.0)    

Introduction to Dance is designed to develop coordination, rhythm, and a love for music and movement. The goal of Introduction to Dance is to encourage artistic creativity without discouraging the child.  The program gives children the  opportunity to learn to dance in an informal setting.  Tutus and scarves are used in class to encourage expression, imagination, and for fun.

Pre-Ballet Tap I (ages 5.0-6.0)- Kindergarten

Pre-Ballet Tap II (ages 6.0-7.0)- 1^st Grade

Pre-Ballet precedes formal ballet training. The curriculum is designed to be age appropriate and is taught in a gentle manner. In Pre-Ballet I, children are introduced to the ballet barre, port de bras and some ballet terminology.

As first graders, Pre-Ballet II students move along at a faster pace with attention to refinement of previously learned skills.  This class will teach sequencing skills in preparation for Ballet I.

All Pre-Ballet classes include a tap section to enhance student's musicality and rhythmic coordination.

Ballet Dress code: JLDC regulation pink leotard, pink tights and pink ballet slippers. Pre-Ballet students must also have black patent leather tap shoes.

KidZhop (ages 4.0-5.5 yrs) MUST be 4.0 by Sept 1, 2008

Kidzhop is an Introduction to Hip Hop for our youngest dancers. An age appropriate curriculum was developed to introduce rythym and develop coordination.

KidzHop Dress code: JLDC regulation Black leotard, black pants and regulation tan jazz shoes.
